Crossing les Continents!
The house has been resounding, non-stop, to Michael Jackson music this evening, thanks to Sproglet and Mr Warren, so I thought I'd take a look at one of the icons of my youth and fetched up the Johnny Hallyday site instead! :)  http://www.johnnyhallyday.com/  Sorry, I've always liked him - it comes from having to study so much French in my youth!

What do I find?  -

Don't get me wrong - I liked some of his music and he was a phenomenon in the pop music world but when someone famous dies you, Joe Public, are bombarded with a review of their life to such an extent that you get sick and fed up with it! And I hate the band of: "I just lurved that man so much" sycophants that keep springing up on the tv like an infestation of cockroaches! Yuck!

Totally agree. Yes, he was a great musician, and a man with great troubles. So can we now just let him rest in peace?

It's a bit like Princess Diana dying all over again...
